Marinara sauce

Marinara sauce is a popular Italian tomato sauce served with pasta, seafood, or other dishes. Here’s a simple and delicious recipe that you can try at home.
Ingredients:

– 1 can of whole peeled tomatoes (28 oz)
– 4 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1/2 onion, diced
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tsp dried basil
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1 tsp sugar
– Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced onion and sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant.

2. Crush the whole peeled tomatoes with your hands or a fork and add them to the saucepan. Stir well and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.

3. Add the dried basil, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Stir well and let it simmer for another 10-15 minutes until the flavors meld together.

4. Using an immersion blender, carefully blend the sauce until smooth. If you don’t have an immersion blender, you can use a regular blender or food processor.

5. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Your Marinara sauce is now ready to be served with your favorite pasta, seafood, or meat dishes. Enjoy!
