Ingredients:
– 1 block of firm tofu
– 3 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
– 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
– 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
– 2 green onions, thinly sliced
– 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Cut the tofu into 1/2 inch slices and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess water.
2. In a bowl, whisk together minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar and sesame oil.
3. Brush the tofu slices with the marinade, making sure each piece is coated evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
4. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
5. Grill the marinated tofu slices for about 5 minutes on each side or until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
6. Once the tofu is done, transfer it to a serving plate and sprinkle with sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds and salt and pepper to taste.
